Volkswagen TDI Buyback Program Information

Learn More About the Volkswagen Buyback Program at Tom Wood Volkswagen Noblesville

Volkswagen is working very diligently to make things right, and we would like to say a big thank you to all of our valued customers for their patience throughout this process.

Regarding the current diesel emissions situation involving Volkswagen 2.0-liter TDI vehicles, Volkswagen has reached a proposed settlement, and we would be more than happy to help you through this process to help ensure it's a smooth and easy transition. To learn more about the process, eligibility, when buybacks begin, and more, please read the information below, or contact us with questions at 888-464-7719.

What Does This Mean For You?

Eligible Volkswagen owners and lessees have a variety of options including vehicle modification for compliance, or a vehicle buyback (or early lease termination). For some qualified owners, you may also be eligible to receive an additional cash settlement, and in some cases this settlement can be as much as $10,000.

Volkswagen has agreed to:

  • Buy back, terminate leases, or provide approved emissions modifications for nearly 475,000 2.0-liter TDI diesel Volkswagens in the US.
  • Provide cash payment to owners and lessees;
  • Pay for environmental remediation; and
  • Promote zero emissions vehicle technology

When Do Volkswagen Buybacks Begin?

If you opt for the Volkswagen buyback option, buybacks will begin after October 18th, 2016. Based on when you registered your TDI online at VWCourtSettlement.com (see information below), a representative from Volkswagen of America will reach out to you set up a time and date when you can stop by our dealership.

What If I Want to Keep My TDI?

If you decide you would like to keep your 2.0-liter diesel TDI, and would like to have the emissions modification completed, in addition to receiving your bonus compensation, keep in mind that modifications must be approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the California Air Resources Board (CARB). To get more information about opting for emissions modification, please visit VWCourtSettlement.com, or contact our team directly.
